Industrial THOR projector for high temperatures
The THOR industrial LED reflectors replace luminaries traditionally used in heavy industries such as steel mills, rolling mills and foundries. They are especially suitable for high temperature dusty areas and wherever discharge or halogen lighting sources are to be replaced. This reflector is rated in the protection class IP65 and it is available in neutral white (4.000K), or cold white (5.000K).
Description Industrial THOR projector for high temperatures
Heat Pipe Heatsink
The mechanical parts are made with anodized Anticorodal aluminum. The heat sink used is the most effective developed in the electronics industry, thanks to the “HEAT PIPE” system: it’s based on a closed copper heat-conducting heat pipe (hollow cylinder) containing a small quantity of ethanol, a cooling fluid; the remaining part of the tube is filled with the steam of the liquid, so that no other gases are present. The system is used to transfer heat from the hot end to the cold one, by evaporating and condensing the refrigerant. This system creates a quick displacement of the heat towards the top end and guarantees the maintenance of the operating temperatures well below those reached by similar devices made with mechanical dissipation only.
Optics with 60° and 90° Opening
The projector is made of pure aluminum (99,85%) with a special “BRITE” treatment – bright and transparent anodizing – giving the maximum light output. It is available with an opening angle of 90° and 60°.
Tj 150° Led
The Led used is a CITIZEN COB Led with a junction temperature (TJ) of 150° which guarantees optimal performances in the most extreme conditions in terms of colour rendering, energy efficiency and lifetime. Life expectation and useful life of the LED L80/B20=75.000 hours; this means that upon reaching 75.000 hours, the 80% (B20) of the Led has a residual luminous flux equal or superior respect to the 80% of the initial flow (L80). Available in neutral white light (4000K) or cold (5000K), the Led is connected with a mechanical fixing system holder without any welding and with silicone cables for high temperatures, a system Made in Germany by Bender + Wirth. Thor reflectors are produced in three different power releases that guarantee respectively 17.595 lm, 29.325 lm and 38.709 lm of real emission; this allows the replacement in ratio 1.1 of traditional 250W, 400W, 600W and 1000W lamps.
Closing System
The closure is made with a 5 mm thick tempered closing glass. The glass is made with an extra transparent type in order to optimize light transmission; the closure it is completed by a silicon HT gasket and a metal closing ring that guarantees the IP 65 protection degree.
Driver Invertronics
The power supply unit (brand INVENTRONICS), with IP67 protection degree, is fixed separately, in order to keep it at a lower operating temperature. The power supplies can operate from -40° to +90°.
Setting
It is possible to supply the luminaire with DALI or 0-10V power supplies to allow switching on and off the control and to manage luminous fluxes and powers.
Quality and Warranty
Each lamp is tested individually and has a serial number to have a total control the quality of the production and the traceability of the product itself. THOR is 5 years guaranteed at an environment temperature up to 80° with the possibility, upon request, of warranty extensions.
The THOR series luminaires can be used as emergency lighting fixtures.
